Crowne Plaza Adelaide's brides and grooms love their experience from start to finish.

Jenna and Scott - 2015

Brides and grooms...prepare to be treated like royalty! Me and my husband had our wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect. The initial planning with Shana and Laura was so easy, they were quick to respond to any questions I had. The actual night ran so smoothly, they made it a very enjoyable and relaxing night for us. The staff were fantastic and very attentive, always making sure us and our guests were okay. The food was great and we had so many great comments about it. It didn't stop the end of the night we came back to our hotel room with rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. The fantastic staff, coordinators and venue made it a memorable wedding.

Lauren and Jake - 2015

Everything ran very smoothly on the night and all staff were wonderful. Thank you so much for all of your help and helping us plan our dream wedding. Stella was fantastic also! Coming back to the hotel room and seeing the champagne, personalised bath robes and rose petals was such a beautiful touch and one that we weren't expecting at all! Everyone was extremely helpful. We have no complaints or negative feedback what so ever. Everything was perfect, 10/10!

Hayley and Luke - 2014

Thank you so much for your help in the lead up to Saturday and also on the day/night! Despite the stress before the ceremony, we had a fantastic day! Everything at the reception went so well and I really can't fault anything at all. The room looked great and everything was set up perfectly 🙂 We had comments from guests about the food being really yummy and we definitely agree.  They've also told me the staff were great at keeping the drinks flowing all the time. Dion who was looking after our table was really great. If you can, please thank him again! He made sure we all had a drink in our hand at all times. Also the bridal suite was really nice - we loved it!

Lara and Ben - 2014

I wanted to thank you so much for all of your hard work on the wedding day as well as the build up to the wedding! You and the other staff were just so wonderful. I honestly couldn't thank you enough. Everything went perfectly and we couldn't fault a single thing! I will be recommending the Crown Plaza to anyone and everyone!

Jenna and Scott - 2015

jenna&scott collage Where did you Meet? We officially met on my 17th Birthday, through a mutual friend. We got along instantly due to common interests and it wasn't long before we were inseparable. What was your First Date? Scott invited me to his friends birthday party so I was nervous from not only going out with him but also meeting his friends. Where did he Propose? Scott proposed on a trip to Phuket. I did not expect it all and was completely surprised. It was an amazing start to our holiday. I was so surprised that i actually didn't believe him and I thought he was joking, because I had been asking him when he was going to propose to me earlier that day. Wedding Theme Our wedding theme was modern glamour and I took inspiration from a winter wonderland. Our ceremony was at the botanic gardens in front of the main lake, so we wanted the decor there to be classic. We had a white carpet aisle runner, white chiffon backdrop, white Americana chairs and shepards hooks with hanging white rose balls lining the aisle. The reception is where the theme came alive. Venue productions helped to transform the room into a winter wonderland. There was ceiling draping with fairy lights and 3 chandeliers hanging in the centre. The entire room was draped with white chiffon and we had an led star backdrop behind the bridal table. The look was completed with a white dance floor with our personalised name monogram shining on it. We also had many blue uplights around the room to give it an icy look. The centrepieces were tall vases with pears inside, a ball of carnations on top and willow branches with hanging crystals. And, because I love bling, our cake was white and silver with crystal stands in-between the tiers which even lit up. Dress Designer My dress designer is Cosmobella purchased from Jenny and Gerrys and had a mermaid shape with a lace bodice and tulle skirt. It had an attached beaded belt and lots of sparkle all over it. Highlight of the Day The whole day was amazing and unforgettable. Saying our vowels, doing our first dance and just having fun with our bridal party in our hummer limo were the highlights. Honeymoon Destination We spent 2 amazing weeks in Thailand.

Jade and Theo - 2015

jade&theo collage THE ROMANCE. Where did you meet?   We met at a party. I am good friends with his sister, she decided to bring her brother along and we hit it off! What was your first date? A restaurant on The Parade, Norwood. Who proposed and how did it happen?  Theo proposed. He arranged a dinner booking (I thought it was abit strange as  he never makes reservations!) we had a beautiful seafood dinner and he then blindfolded me and took me to a dessert bar. We finished dessert and on the way home he randomly stopped the car and said lets walk off our dinner so we finished with a romantic walk along the torrens - half way through he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! THE DAY. Wedding Theme Classic white with a touch of silver Dress Designer  Eliza French Highlight of the day   The whole day was incredibly amazing - Our wedding ceremony - It was incredible - it was so emotional - We had a harpist, the music was so beautiful and the church was filled with so much love - I will never forget the overwhelming feeling I got walking down the aisle with my mum and dad by my side and seeing Theo wipe a tear from his eye. The reception was awesome fun we partied the whole night away - I didn't want the day to end! Honeymoon Destination  Tahiti, Bora Bora and the East and West Coasts of USA

Donna and Dave - 2014

Donna&Dave collage Where did you meet? We first met 22 years ago through mutual friends at High School. What was your first date? This question had us thinking!! To be honest I don’t think we had an official first date. Having been great friends for many years we were always going out to dinner etc. together, the only difference was the taxi only had to make one stop at the end of the night! Who proposed and how did it happen? Dave proposed during a casual Sunday picnic in the Botanic Gardens. Wedding Theme We had an elegant black and white themed wedding with the assistance of Venue Productions, Shane and Renata Fowler from Clockworks Digital and of course the ever helpful, very professional staff at the Crowne Plaza. Dress Designer Australian designer Rachel Gilbert Bridesmaids Dresses The Bridesmaid’s dresses were made by Sharon Howe of Howe Designs. The design was a collaborative effort between me, Sharon and the Bridesmaids Rings Our rings were designed and made by Bell & Brunt. Highlight of the Day Dave’s highlight;  Watching Donna walk down the aisle with her father Donna’s highlight:  Too many!! Obviously the wedding ceremony itself, but one of my favourite moments was the all in conga line during the reception Honeymoon Destination USA adventure through LA, New York, Las Vegas and Mexico

Belinda and Alex - 2013

belinda&alex collage THE ROMANCE. Where did you meet? We met at work! Having been there a few years more than Alex, I thought he was a cheeky young upstart to begin with, but after a while we discovered some mutual interests in TV shows and music, and things progressed from there! There was much gossip in the office the day we went 'facebook official'! What was your first date? It was the October long weekend of 2010 and we went for a walk through the Botanic Gardens, ate some ice cream and then drove down to Grange beach for another walk. I still wasn't sure at the end of the day if it had actually been a date, but turned out it was! It was great to also have our wedding on the October long weekend, three years later! Who proposed and how did it happen? Alex proposed on Boxing Day down at Grange beach. He strategically timed it for sunset but the plan was almost foiled by my dog, who decided to interrupt with a well-timed poop! I saw the outline of the ring box in Alex's pocket when he bent down to pick up the deposit! THE DAY. Wedding Theme Without going over the top with elves ears or Hobbit's feet, our wedding had a Lord of the Rings theme. Our ceremony was at the Armoury Lawns at the South Australian Museum. For our reception, the table numbers were printed on framed pages from the Lord of the Rings books, I wore Arwen's 'Evenstar' necklace and Alex's wedding ring is an exact replica of 'the One Ring' made by Jens Hansen, the same jeweller who made them for the movies. For a laugh, we had the screens outside the reception display Boromir saying 'One does not simply walk into marriage'. Our wedding coordinator, Shana, was incredibly accommodating of me taking over the design of the menus so they could be printed in a Lord of the Rings font to match our invitations. Dress Designer The dress was called Kelsey, by Henry Roth. I loved the lace overlay, and the sparkly beading reminded me of some of Arwen's costumes in the Lord of the Rings Highlight of the Day Most people at the reception would say it was the speech both our Dads gave together! It went on for about 20 minutes, had everyone in stitches and the poor Crowne Plaza staff were trying to get the MC to wind them up so the steak being served for main wasn't overcooked! Honeymoon We went to New Zealand... Middle-earth! We spent three weeks travelling around both islands, including a visit to Hobbiton and an amazing final week at the Crowne Plaza in Queenstown, which has the best cocktail-making bartender in the world (thanks Rodrigo!)
